Looking for a new favorite bubbly drink? Look no further than the Citrus Sizzle!

Now I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of Sprite. There’s just something about how simple of a drink it is and how it’s nice and refreshing.

I’d like to claim it’s because of the lemon-lime flavoring. Just a hint is all you need to take something bland and give it the perfect kick.

Trying to go bold with a twist on Sprite, we made the Citrus Sizzle.

We used the Tart Lemon and Orange Tangerine Ninja Thirsti flavors to make sure we had a nice citrus-y flavor with a beautiful orange color. Unfortunately, we had the lemon and the added orange flavor, but we were still missing that lime element.

Lime juice was the perfect solution. Just a little bit to balance out the orange and pucker your lips a bit, and we had the perfect combination for a mid-morning wow!

Let’s not forget about the carbonation here. Sizzles don’t sizzle without the bubbles. On the Ninja Thirsti, we bumped the carbonation to full blast to get that sizzle train rolling (choo-choo!).

Finally, to add the perfect touch, we added an orange wheel. It compliments the color of the Citrus Sizzle nicely and gives you an orange aroma when you take a sip.

Ninja Thirsti Citrus Sizzle

Citrus Sizzle is a bubbly citrus drink that combines the flavors of orange, lemon, and lime for the perfect treat!

Ingredients

  • Ninja Thirsti Orange Tangerine Drops

  • Ninja Thirsti Tart Lemon Drops

  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice

  • (Optional) 1 Orange Wheel Slice

Directions

  • Ensure the Ninja Thirsti water reservoir has at least 12oz of cold water.
  • Place a handful of ice cubes in your desired drink glass.

    Note: this recipe makes a 12oz Citrus Sizzle.
  • Pour 1 tbsp lime juice over the ice.

    You can use juice from a fresh lime or bottled lime juice.
  • Place the glass in the the Ninja Thirsti on the bottom holder.
  • Insert the Orange Tangerine & Tart Lemon Thirsti drops into the machine.
  • Select the settings:

    Sparkling x 3
    Orange Tangerine Drops x 1
    Tart Lemon Drops x 1
    12oz Drink
  • Time for the magic! Press the Start button.
  • Once the drink has fully dispensed and the Thirsti makes the “Done” sound, remove the drink from the machine.
  • Stir the drink to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  • (Optional) Garnish with an orange wheel to up the classiness of the drink!
  • Now your Citrus Sizzle is ready to enjoy!
